Cycling Wales For Cian #CW4C
Carl Harbord, Dave Probert and Martin Carroll representing the EuroCaps MTB Club are riding the full length of the National Cycle Network Route 8 - Lon Las Cymru - On Mountain Bikes supporting The Case Family and Cyclists Fighting Cancer.
We are undertaking the gruelling ride from Holyhead on Anglesey in the North West of Wales, down to Cardiff Bay in the South.
This 255 mile ride through the amazing and rugged Welsh terrain includes climbs totalling in excess of 5,100 metres, which is more than the combine heights of Ben Nevis (1,345m), Snowdon (1,085m), Scafell Pike (978m), Pen-y-Fan (886m) and the Sugar Loaf (596m)!!
We sincerely hope that you will support us in this worthy quest, and also invite keen and responsible riders to join us for the last leg from Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre (starting at 11:00 on Sunday 4th September) to Cardiff Bay.
Cian's dad Richard will be accompanying us on the ride to offer logistical support and keep you all updated via the Cians Kicking Cancer Facebook page and the Rainbowfish Twitter Feed (@RainbowfishC)
A ride of this magnitude would not be possible without the help and assistance of our supporters:
The cyclists taking part in this charity ride all represent the EuroCaps MTB Club.
Ride Bikes Wales are supplying spare parts for the ride, and have helped and advised Cian and his family to take up cycling.
Cyclsists Fighting Cancer have provided specialist assistance and funding to ensure Cian has a fit for purpose trike to aid his mobility recovery.
Trustmark Design and Print based in Talbot Green have been very helpful in advising on our cycle clothing
Hywel; the owner of Walters Services is a keen mountain biker himself and has ridden with these guys many times. His help with their hydration requirements though Wales will be invaluable.
